month seventeen Sep/Oct-2009

At first, she picked the sunflower seeds out of her toasted bread. Then she got some seeds from daddy's muesli. Now, a variety of dried seeds is an essential part of every breakfast and afternoon break.

Breakfast.

Hannah manages to eat with spoon and knife, often without any help.
(But her parents have to do the cleanup.)

Parliamentary elections are coming up in Germany; Hannah got a bright yellow balloon.

Having lots of fun on the swing.

Then hilariously exploring the vicinity of the playground.

Her hair is growing longer; here, we're trying a headscarf to tame the fringe.

Today's Day of German Unity, so we dress up sharp.

We have a walk to the playground, where Hannah starts exploring…

…and soon develops a keen interest in the garbage can.

Another beautiful sunny autumn day, the same playground again.

Hannah happily explores the surroundings, and watches (older) children play.

It was windy today, and we found some walnuts.

Both are missing mommy, who's working in a town far away.
